How to use evga precision x to overclock a 970
I posted Valley results in page 80 I think. Mine currently is running at 1601mhz, passed fire strike, furmark, heaven and valley. You can try and check the 970's OC from the chart found here : īut The chart I think don't put the card names. 60 deg seems awesome, really hope they have a water-block for that at Christmas. This is a quite simple user interface with an application that will rely entirely NVIDIA drivers, so there is reason to be downloaded from NVIDIAs website WHQL-certified driver. Sweet, was thinking about getting that card for bro at Christmas. My best FireStrike score right now is 11411 so let me know how you guys stack up and post any hints that you find helpful. Between the two settings I only gained 72 marks on FireStrike so you'll have to find your own sweet spot. When my memory was boosted to 600 Mhz I was only able to get the clock up to +85 so I believe to get your highest clock speeds you'll have to keep your memory low. 3 - Copy this file to your desktop or another location. exe files after each reboot do the following : 1 - Browse to : C:Program Files (x86)EVGAPrecisionX 16Profiles (or wherever you installed Precision X 16 to, just get to the profiles folder) 2 - Find the file called 'precisionxserver.cfg'. When playing with this, I found the best route for me to get my OC results was to find my highest GPU clock then start boosting the memory in increments of 15-25 until I found instability while running Heaven in the background. EDIT - To stop having to remove these three. Re: GTX 970 Overclock Monday, Septem8:05 PM ( ) A little work, and most 970s can get well above 1500. Most GTX 970s should be around 1450-1500MHz or so. The card only gets to around 60 celcius when benchmarking. Make sure to list your actual boost clock, not offset, since offset clocks are not directly comparable. I have the power target set to 112% and +87 mV for the voltage using EVGA Precision X. With the GPU clock this high I was able to get my memory boosted by around +300 Mhz (still playing with this). So starting with my card, I was able to get the GPU clock to 1539 MHz with a +110 to the gpu clock offset. A forum community dedicated to overclocking enthusiasts and testing the limits of computing. However, the last settings I tested seem to be stable at: +120 MHz core clock (1487 boost, 1524 reported by gpu-z) +400 MHz memory clock. If you have found ways to get the max out of this card please post it here so we can work with eachother. Re: Post GTX 970 Overclock Results Here Tuesday, Decem2:11 AM ( ) I'm still in the progress of testing the stability of my overclock for my GTX 970 FTW. Hey everyone! After looking around I haven't seen any very good forum posts or enough website posts about this cards overclocking settings/results so I thought I would post mine here so you guys could see how it stacks up against other cards and also post your results.
